I began work with the International Baccalaureate diploma programme in 1981 and these reflections are the result of over 40 years experience of teaching TOK. The International Baccalaureate diploma programme came into existence in the latter part of the 1960s to early 1970s as a response to the need for a mobile student population preparing to go to university across the world.
