This book is organised into chapters that address the origins of international and global education, global schools, knowledge, skills and ethics. The importance of boundaries of various types is highlighted. Standish draws on the academic literature of international education by drawing a distinction between a variety of strands including intercultural education, peace studies, development education, human rights education, world studies, and environmental education/sustainable development education, as well as education for a global market.
