The context of the study is an international school in the Netherlands, which offers all three International Baccalaureate programs, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), The Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The MYP has been constructed on the premise that effective education is inquiry-based, focused on concepts and processes, and both disciplinary and inter-disciplinary in nature. The programme is underpinned by the Global Contexts, which provide a common language across the disciplines for contextualized learning. The MYP also places an emphasis on Community and Service, as well as Approaches to Learning skills. In addition, the programme highlights character building and the development of dispositions through the IB Learner Profile.
