Abstract:

In 2014 a school was set up in China for Chinese students to address the essential issues that impact on the learning of Chinese students when they enter a western learning environment.          The aim was to identify the factors as well as develop pedagogical responses to ensure that the students have an inclusive learning experience that resonates at a cultural level. The work done in the school has identified powerful factors that shape the learning experience for these students as well as going a long way to explaining some of the difficulties Chinese students meet when transferred to an international education.
