At Cambridge, our short-term priority has been to ensure that learners can continue their educational journey. We tried to acknowledge and accommodate the different circumstances the pandemic created in the approximately 180 countries where students complete Cambridge qualifications. In 2020, the June series was heavily disrupted, November and March 2021 were comparatively normal and June 2022 again heavily disrupted. The significant majority of Cambridge schools wanted examinations to run and not to revert to centre assessed grades, but the pandemic made this impossible in a number of circumstances, which proved particularly challenging in countries where the pandemic suddenly took hold right before an examination session was scheduled.
