Frederic David Styan born Bolton, Lancashire December 1937 was always going to be a teacher, inspired by two Primary teacher Aunts; that he became an outstanding Headteacher, both in the UK and Internationally and made major contributions to the development of Headteacher Training and ‘best practice’ in School management is testament to his enthusiasm and dedication to our teaching profession.
University at The London School of Economics in the late 1950’s studying Geography & Economics, living a mile from Westminster, provided exciting times. Followed by Oxford for his teaching Diploma and first step into leadership as Secretary of the Students’ Union.
