Abstract:
The American School of Barcelona turned 50 in 2012-13 with a banner year of celebrations. In addition to the festivities themselves for community members current and past, the 50th anniversary has given us a chance to reflect on the school then and now, and to look toward the future. Obviously, the Barcelona of 1962 was an incredibly different place from the Barcelona of today, but the school has managed to maintain its place at the vanguard of education in the city.
