Abstract:
Can Europeans feel?
This is a book that needs to be handled carefully. It could be helpful to some people and disturbing to others. It is a set of essays from a discourse that is alien to most teachers and administrators of international schools, and yet it deals with issues fundamental to the region where international education is growing explosively. Written in a belligerent style by an Iranian-born academic in the USA for a Middle-Eastern audience, it could offend, perhaps enlighten, but it certainly articulates a voice that is fundamental to the region and throughout the Arabic- or Farsi-speaking world.
